This prestigious Vaucluse project has transformed design challenges into architectural opportunities, creating a unique home which is tailored to our clients’ needs. Straddling dualistic imperatives to foster residential privacy and open out to spectacular harbour views, the home’s design sentiment is forged on a contrast of solidity and trnansparency.

Conceptually dividing the home into two distinct sections, the entry lobby has been conceived as an intentionally internalised space, the use of concrete amplifying, rather than concealing, this sense of solidity. A skylit staircase demarcates the entrance from the open plan living quarters, a space defined by its patulous harbour views.

A highly crafted blend of straight lines and curves are seen internally and externally, in the form of columns, curved walls and circular skylights, the purposeful selection of which aids in cultivating a lived sense of serenity and a practical amplification of spaciousness. This geometric balance promotes an emotive sense of repose, as well as a stateliness, imbuing the home with aesthetic, as well as experiential, distinction. The balance of these two contrasting traits is in keeping with the home’s overall design philosophy, a harmonisation of dualisms which artfully connect, creating a dynamic equilibrium.
