One Sydney Park

In collaboration with Silvester Fuller and Sue Barnsley Design, we are very excited that we have won the design excellence competition for One Sydney Park, HPG Australia’s flagship project in Alexandria. Make Architects interior design team was also selected to complete stage one of One Sydney Park’s interior architecture.

It was clear to that us from the competition briefing, that both HPG and the City of Sydney held very high aspirations for the design solution to this important site. HPG is committed to establishing a precinct that cohesively aligns itself with Sydney Park and its award-winning landscaping and ecological preservation strategies to ensure that One Sydney Park complements its outstanding surrounds in every way and also embraces the local community. We have sought to deliver on those aims with a design that is both contextually sensitive, while maximising the opportunities of a community that the site presents for the city.

HPG’s development director, Barney Oros, said the design was chosen on the merit of it’s holistic approach to the idea of a new community that will enhance the unique aspects of the park.

The winning architects have been selected based on their design vision which exceeded HPG’s expectations and presented a design of which any global city would be proud to boast, and yet is distinctly Australian. One Sydney Park will be delivered with innovation and finishes which will set a new benchmark for the inner-west market, if not Sydney,” Oros said.
