This proposal is for a new nine storey residential tower that provides quality residential apartments with excellent amenity, responding sympathetically to its surrounding context.

Bulk and scale is minimised in the slender form of the design that incorporates an upper level setback to the front and rear and providing generous side setbacks to the east and west.

The development consists of thirty apartments, ranging in one, two and three bedroom units over nine stories on top of two levels of basement parking.

Elevations to the side boundaries are articulated to respond to the neighbouring buildings in relation to privacy. Privacy is carefully considered with the incorporation of ‘ear’ windows that allow the capture of natural light and ventilation whilst still providing privacy and framing district views.

Materiality consists of a playful grid of light-coloured board form concrete with dark metal clad ‘ear’ windows weaving within the primary grid structure. The focus is based upon simplicity and quality of material combinations, with the addition of timber soffits providing warmth to the palette.
