Milford
Perched on a corner site this boutique block of 5 apartments sits amongst an eclectic neighbourhood comprising 2 /3 storey residences, Inter-war apartments a primary school and church. A floating skillion roof was a direct response to Council’s insistence on strict compliance to their wall height controls. The block is well set back from the 2 street frontages creating generous garden spaces for the ground floor apartments. A sandstone base acts as a podium, consolidating the natural slope of the land and concealing car parking within. All apartments are orientated towards the view, with a wrap-around balcony for the top floor penthouse. The design is characterised by a selection of warm materials with timber, stone and dark bronze aluminium creating a welcome addition to the neighbourhood.
