The Forum

The Forum creates an iconic place on Oxford Street through the juxtaposition between the existing 19th Century shop fronts and the contemporary residential tower. Its robust tectonic forms drive an efficient floor plan within the rectilinear tower which hovers over a strong podium, and creates a memorable image of Bondi Junction’s history and its future potential.

Rhythmic patterning of the skylights, brightly coloured furniture, and the juxtaposition of the cafes within the entry lobbies contribute to the convivial, striking, and therefore iconic nature of this space. Its retail plaza also functions as an arcade-style through site link connecting Oxford Street and Hegarty Lane, providing a safe and attractive pedestrian environment that encourages walking and the use of public transport.
